The last four months have been a time of huge adjustment for us. Ella came home from the hospital nursing for the first part of her feeding and then needing to be supplemented with pumped breastmilk with a fortifier so that she could get extra calories. Both of the twins have been completely brestfed for the last 2 months. For the last six weeks they have been sleeping through the night which is great for me since It took over an hour to get both babies fed, changed, and put back to sleep. The concerns we have had with Ella do not seem to be causing any problems. While there aren't any guarantees as to what the future will hold; we are hopeful that her progress will continue. Both Ella and Aubrey roll from front to back, grab objects and put them in their mouths, and can sit unsupported for brief periods. It seems as if Ella is trying to make up for starting out so little. She has gone from 2#14oz to about 11#, according to my bathroom scale. She has almost quadrupled her weight in 4 short months. She is a very happy, smiley, easy going baby. Ella loves being held and cuddled. Aubrey gives away her smiles more easily, but is also more temperamental. Kara absolutely adores "her" babies and is amazingly helpful. She has not had a single jealous moment.

Even though having twins is much more difficult than I had anticipated, the amount of laundry and diapers alone is staggering, it is so rewarding seeing how my girls interact with one another and the bond that Ella and Aubrey have. They are happiest when they are together and are beginning to truly notice the other.
